research research
design analysis. not so bad.
it's good to have time to do proper research on the area out side of uni,
and focus on what direaction i am going to after graduate

talk by Ken Garland, it was good :)
I could finally see him and listen the talk, as I missed other talk when he came last time.
I came across the great book he brought, which is made by his student in the past.
That was made in 1987, wow, older than me! But that was such a good book.
Made me want to create new one again :P

but got enough idea what i should do for the next project

i think i will miss one day of precious 5 days for my placement because of the
day for presentation and hand-in day.

Tired... went to London, to see the event 'Pick Me Up' at Somerset house!
When we stepped out from the Embankment station, there were full of people by the river!

Not only this area, everywhere in London was sooo busy today!






And yes, Pick Me Up was fantastic! Soooo Good!! Really inspiring, and good to know much new things.
Excellent.

In this event, there are lots of place displaying or showing the workplace like printing process.



And I was surprised that I came across my favorite Japanese artist's work, Natsuko Seki
Her work was great...love her sense. Good to see the actual prints that I used to see on computer screen.





There was Rob Ryan's workplace as well.
So delicate his cutting out pictures were...!





It was so good, I suggest everyone who studying art (especially Graphic Design) to go :)

Then went to Camden, always nice to see new people.
Aww love gigs...

And today I found out that three of four my birdtypo books were sold!
So happy... ! :'-) became want to create other new books.
The guy from concrete hermit was so nice.

London day,
went to lots of galleries.
love old street area.
And finally sold my books in artbookart shop :)
so there are 2 books of mine.
Book of birdtypo and book of collage.


Walked around Holborn a lot this day...
and ate Okonomi yaki near British Museum,
Sooo nice, haven't ate it for two years...




And then went to Angel to see gigs. Loved the lexington!
Wish I could live in such a nice place in London.

sunny today again, not warm as yesterday, but still good!
I was kind of stuck with the drawing so applied for the
work experience finally...
Can you imagine how many good design studios are
in that small capital, London??

Ahh I really want to get an offer from that company.
Luckily I could get one offer today, but not during the
period uni provided as part of the unit...

I even want to go Paris or Stockholm lol
well, one year left till graduation.

And today I bit worried about getting any appropriate
qualifications for getting job.
Cuz in Japan if you can't fill any good qualifications you have on your CV,
that would give company the impression of you are totally useless...
It's not a matter how great your portfolio for them,
it is a matter of how many and how high level of qualifications you have...
A difference between the way of proving your talent...haha
anyway should I take IELTS like I did 3 years before or
should I challenge to get another qualifications...
Or should I just focus on making my own works and
improve my skills continuously...?

Went to shopping in town.

I realised it is time to tidy up inside my laptop.
It barely has space for saving my stuff...! seriously, the space left is only 2 GB lol
I bet most of the space were occupied by the music and film data.
So now I am working on burning films to the CD/DVDs...
became 8GB so far...! but it takes so long time...argh.

All day in London.
Wanted to go many galleries again, but missed them again.
Cuz today is Sunday and easter...! should have realized... :'(
White cube, Kemistry, and book art book shop... All missed.
Went to V&A though.
I think I will spend whole day to travel around London and see everything I want, next time!
People learns from mistakes, see!

But the Liverpool's shops and markets are open,
and I got cute mobile phone case! hehe :) bear.
And oh I wish I could join the market here someday really...

Then went to Camden, to see the event that my friends are running.
It was like art performance, so two performer in the beginning were acting
drama by themselves, and after that they did poetry reading, film screeing, DJ that sort of things...? But we sneak out before the end of event, because we needed to go to another event and some of the program was not our taste.

By the way, this was the first time to go to Heaven in Charring Cross, where I have always wanted to go, because here often becomes a live concert.
There were few people when we arrive, but eventually it became packed with people...!
Sooooo crowded!! and so hot! I felt like I couldn't breathe properly.
And because this venue is normally a gay club, I saw lots of gay people.
some of them were like a girl, and wow their fashion @_@

But I really enjoyed the Lives, and the DJ was great.
Have to be careful though :(

I felt so exhausted, and slept after I went home like a dead.
I think I spent most of my energy for rest of the easter already...
no more exercises please...

Japanese meal party---- :)
After me and my partner talked about the project that we have to do during easter
(cuz the deadline and presentation is right after easter...!),
we did small party, cooking Japanese meals Chirashi Zushi, Kani Tama, Kara age.







Ah that was fun! Im gonna miss this house...

Bank Holiday---
I wanted to go to London to see some exhibition this day,
but I couldn't. Well, It was obvious that I would not be able to wake up early in the morning,
after the night I came back late and went to bed like 4 in the morning...

Anyway I head off to London in the afternoon, and went to photography gallery
to see exhibition and buy some new films for my holga.
I quite liked the effect of black and white film that I used in Venice,
so I wanted to try some photograph during easter again.
But, it was closed X(
So I end up with buying clothes lol
Then went to Camden to see gig.
I finally met designer from Queens of Sounds,
she was really nice person, and talked a lot about UK and music...
It is really hard and great thing, to go to gigs and talk to musicians,
and advertise the design.. I am respecting her aggressiveness so much..
Cuz at the end, if you don't do anything, that's the end.
You've gotta make a move if you want to change and improve your situation you are..
I learned a lot, and wanted to live in the UK more and more!
I think I can't go back Japan anymore :P Loving this country too much.
Learned a lot this night, and became to think the thing in different way.
And I really love clothes that I got this day! :)

wowww :O sorry, I have been skipping to write a blog for a week!
I think I've been lazy since the easter break started...
hmm... im gonna quickly write what happened on each day,
like taking record for myself as a diary... :P

thursday was the beginning of April, officially the last day before easter,
paid rent, went to post office, went to do shelving work in the library,
then took a journey to croydon. where the tiger tiger is.
This was the first time for me to go, and I was supposed to go to kingston
on this day but plan changed.
Soooo many people were in a queue in front of the building,
just to get in...! and inside was so crowded as well, even it's got a quite big spaces.
Drunk 5 shots(not bad, compared to last time i went to boogie).
That was quite fun, but I think I will go again...too crowded :(
Besides, I am rather music gig person lol
